Fourth Grade

A Big Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year...

I am Mrs. L. Hernandez and I look forward to being your child's teacher.  I am well prepared to do so because  I have 15 years of experience in various grade levels.  I graduated from UTPA with a Bachelors at a Summa Cum Laude level, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, Bilingual Certification, and Principal/Leadership Certification.

 

In spite of all these accomplishments, I want you to know that my parents immigrated to this country and showed me how to work hard and not give up.  The best way to break a poverty cycle or improve your human capital is still through education. I am living proof of it. Educating your children is still the greatest gift you can bequeath them. 

 

I have been married for 33 years to Moises Hernandez.  My husband and I served as Youth Pastors for 19 years.    We have raised three boys who are contributing to their communities.  Josue is a math graduate from Texas A&M & is versed in 5 languages.  Caleb is a trainer for Division 1 athlete prospect at college station  and will be graduating from Sam Houston University. Caleb also married and I am elated to have my first daughter, Madison. She is an alumni of Texas A & M.  Obed is a high school state powerlifting champion  and two-time collegiate national champion.  He is currently powerlifting for UTSA. 

 

My promise is to educate your child with the same passion that I used to educate my own. In the hopes, that one day you also can say...
