4th Grade Expectations/ Expectativas de 4

Behavioral Log- Each student will be issued a behavior/homework log on a weekly basis. Students are responsible to take home the behavior/homework log to show their parents their daily conduct and homework assignments. Parents must sign the behavior/homework log daily and return with his/her child back to school. The purpose of this log is for parents to be aware of how his/her child is behaving at school and his/her homework assignments. Teachers will mark on the students’ behavior log if he/she is breaking one of the classroom rules. If there are no marks on the students’ behavior log, that means that student did well in all his/her classes.

Homework- Students must complete all homework assignments when given.

Absent- Students who are absent must bring a doctor’s excuse or letter from home explaining why he/she was absent when returning to school.

Tardy- The tardy bell rings at 7:45a.m. Students who arrive to class after 7:45a.m will be counted tardy. If the student arrives tardy to school, he/she must bring a letter from home explaining why he/she was tardy. Medical notes are acceptable.

Daily Dismissal- If your child is a bus student and he/she will be picked up from school due to a doctors’ appointment, dentist appointment, or family emergency, parents must write a letter to notify their homeroom teacher that they will be picked up instead of going in the bus. This also pertains to those students who are picked up daily and parents wish for their child to ride the bus.

Dress Code- All students need to wear their school uniform shirts tucked in preferably with a belt. Please see parent handbook page 14-15.
